Neendoor Thrikkayil Subrahmanya Swami Temple Kottayam is Murugan temple located in the Neendoor, Kottayam district in Kerala India. Myths say that the Pandavas and the sage Vyasa worshipped at this temple.
കേരളത്തിലെ കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ നീണ്ടൂരിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന മുരുകൻ ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് കോട്ടയം നീണ്ടൂർ തൃക്കയിൽ സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യ സ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രം. പാണ്ഡവരും വ്യാസ മുനിയും ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ആരാധിച്ചിരുന്നതായി പുരാണങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നു.
The deity of the temple is Lord Muruga. Neendoor Subrahmanya Swami Temple hosts the arattu festival, which is celebrated on a grand scale on the Medashasti day in April–May every year. The Ottanarangamala Samarppanam is one of the important rituals of this temple.
ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠ മുരുകനാണ്. നീണ്ടൂർ സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യ സ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ എല്ലാ വർഷവും ഏപ്രിൽ-മെയ് മാസങ്ങളിലെ മേടഷഷ്ടി ദിനത്തിൽ ആറാട്ടുത്സവം വിപുലമായി ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു. ഒറ്റ നാരങ്ങമാല സമർപ്പണം ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ആചാരങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ്.
In the temple, the furious form of Murugan is worshipped. The Vel is pointed downwards. Murugan is worshipped here in the form of Devasenapathi, the supreme general of the holy forces. The deity is said to be in an angry and furious mood as he had fought with Tharakasuran in a confrontation known as the "Tharakasura Nigraha Bhavam".
ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ മുരുകന്റെ ഉഗ്രരൂപത്തെയാണ് ആരാധിക്കുന്നത്. വേൽ താഴേക്ക് ചൂണ്ടിയിരിക്കും. പുണ്യശക്തികളുടെ പരമോന്നത സൈന്യാധിപനായ ദേവസേനാപതിയുടെ രൂപത്തിലാണ് മുരുകനെ ഇവിടെ ആരാധിക്കുന്നത്. "താരകാസുര നിഗ്രഹ ഭാവം" എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു ഏറ്റുമുട്ടലിൽ താരകാസുരനുമായി യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തതിനാൽ ദേവൻ ദേഷ്യവും രോഷവും നിറഞ്ഞ മാനസികാവസ്ഥയിലാണെന്ന് പറയപ്പെടുന്നു.
He faces east as seen in most of the temples. Mahaganapathi, Dhakshinamoorthi (Lord Shiva), Thooninmel Bhagavathi (Bhadrakali), Shathavu, Durga, Nagaraja, and Bhahmarakshs are also worshipped at the temple as subordinate deities. Tuesday is the important day for the temple in regards to the worship of Murugan.
മിക്ക ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിലും കാണുന്നതുപോലെ അദ്ദേഹം കിഴക്കോട്ട് ദർശനമായാണ് പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. മഹാഗണപതി, ദക്ഷിണാമൂർത്തി (ശിവൻ), തൂണിൻമേൽ ഭഗവതി (ഭദ്രകാളി), ശതാവ്, ദുർഗ്ഗ, നാഗരാജാവ്, ഭ്രമരക്ഷകർ എന്നിവരെയും ഉപദേവതകളായി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ആരാധിക്കുന്നു. മുരുകന്റെ ആരാധനയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് ചൊവ്വാഴ്ചയാണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന് പ്രധാന ദിവസം.
